KAKOSCHOOL no longer works. Here is what to use instead

KAKOSCHOOL was the Back to School code and, through August, the strongest entry on our list. It expired on September 5, 2026 and can no longer be redeemed. The code ran August 9 – September 5, 2026; it had been announced through the end of September, but ended early without a separate announcement. If you paste it into User Center now you will get an invalid-code message — that is not something you did wrong. The working replacements are below and on the live Kakobuy coupon list.

What works instead of KAKOSCHOOL

  • KAKOSEP — the direct successor: the same ¥1300 in flat-rate shipping coupons plus a separate 10% off with no minimum, on identical thresholds. Valid September 8–30, 2026. Details: what the KAKOSEP code gives you.
  • SAFE2026 — 20% off shipping, no minimum spend, valid through September 30, 2026. The highest percentage discount going and the only one with a stated end date. Details: what the SAFE2026 code gives you.
  • Ponur — the same 20% off shipping with no minimum, extended month by month. Two percentage coupons never apply at once, so redeem both and use either at checkout.
  • Luxury — the evergreen $15 off an order, no minimum. It comes off the order rather than the shipping, so it works alongside a shipping coupon.
  • Welcome bundle — new accounts opened through our link with code LUXURY get roughly $400 in shipping coupons.

Are you actually losing anything? Do the math

The KAKOSCHOOL bundle sounded enormous ("¥1300 in coupons"), but you redeemed that total once and then used one coupon on one parcel. What mattered was never the bundle total — it was the largest coupon whose threshold your shipping bill cleared, and those thresholds stopped at ¥300. A percentage has no ceiling:

  • a ¥300 bill — KAKOSCHOOL gave ¥50, 20% gives ¥60;
  • a ¥1000 bill — KAKOSCHOOL ¥150, 20% ¥200;
  • a ¥2000 bill — KAKOSCHOOL ¥300, 20% ¥400;
  • a ¥3000 bill — KAKOSCHOOL still ¥300, 20% already ¥600.

Above roughly ¥150 of shipping, the percentage code beat anything in the bundle — which covers every ordinary consolidated parcel. KAKOSCHOOL only won on genuinely tiny shipments, where its ¥30 coupon kicked in from ¥21. The full breakdown at seven bills is in the table on the homepage.

For the record, this is what KAKOSCHOOL dropped on your account:

  • 10% off shipping with no minimum spend, ×1.
  • ¥300 on shipping over ¥2000, ¥200 over ¥1500, ¥150 over ¥1000.
  • 2× ¥100 over ¥800, 3× ¥80 over ¥500, 3× ¥50 over ¥300.
  • 2× ¥30 over ¥21 — the only coupons worth anything on a small parcel.

KAKOSCHOOL was one of five parts. The others needed no code and also closed with August: a 10% sitewide shipping subsidy, a flash sale across every product, a referral programme paying up to ¥2000, and a referral leaderboard where the Top 10 split up to ¥3000.   4. The coupons land on your account; pick one of the percentage codes when you pay for shipping.

What should I use instead of KAKOSCHOOL?

For the bundle itself, KAKOSEP (September 8–30, 2026) — identical contents, September edition. For raw shipping discount, a percentage code — and you come out ahead more often than not. Above a shipping bill of roughly ¥150, 20% off from SAFE2026 or Ponur already took more off than the best flat-rate coupon in the KAKOSCHOOL bundle, because a percentage scales while the flat tiers stopped at ¥300. On a ¥1000 bill that is ¥200 against ¥150; on ¥3000 it is ¥600 against ¥300. You only lost out on very small parcels.

Is the Back to School Fest still running?

No. The Kako Back to School Fest was an August event: a sitewide shipping subsidy, a flash sale and a referral programme with a Top 10 leaderboard.
