KAKOSCHOOL was the Back to School code and, through August, the strongest entry on our list. It expired on September 5, 2026 and can no longer be redeemed. The code ran August 9 – September 5, 2026; it had been announced through the end of September, but ended early without a separate announcement. If you paste it into User Center now you will get an invalid-code message — that is not something you did wrong. The working replacements are below and on the live Kakobuy coupon list.

What works instead of KAKOSCHOOL

  • KAKOHALLOWEEN: the same bundle as KAKOSCHOOL, 13 flat-rate shipping coupons worth ¥1300 in total plus 10% off with no minimum, valid October 10–31, 2026. Details.
  • KAKOMOON — a Mid-Autumn Festival pack: a 20% off shipping coupon plus 6 flat-rate coupons worth ¥550 in total. Less in total than ¥1300, but the percentage is twice KAKOSCHOOL's 10%. No end date announced.
  • Ponur — 20% off shipping with no minimum, extended through October 2026. It does not combine with KAKOMOON's percentage coupon on one parcel, but they are separate coupons, so use them on different shipments.
  • SAFE2026 — another 20% off shipping with no minimum, valid through October 31, 2026. Details.
  • KAKOEU — the European bundle: 15% off shipping and ¥350 in flat-rate coupons, valid through October 31, 2026. Details.
  • Luxury — the evergreen $15 off an order, no minimum. It comes off the order rather than the shipping, so it works alongside a shipping coupon.
  • Welcome bundle — new accounts opened through our link with code LUXURY get roughly $400 in shipping coupons.

Are you actually losing anything? Do the math

The KAKOSCHOOL bundle sounded enormous ("¥1300 in coupons"), but you redeemed that total once and then used one coupon on one parcel. What mattered was never the bundle total — it was the largest coupon whose threshold your shipping bill cleared, and those thresholds stopped at ¥300. A percentage has no ceiling:

  • a ¥300 bill — KAKOSCHOOL gave ¥50, 20% gives ¥60;
  • a ¥1000 bill — KAKOSCHOOL ¥150, 20% ¥200;
  • a ¥2000 bill — KAKOSCHOOL ¥300, 20% ¥400;
  • a ¥3000 bill — KAKOSCHOOL still ¥300, 20% already ¥600.

Above roughly ¥150 of shipping, the percentage code beat anything in the bundle — which covers every ordinary consolidated parcel. KAKOSCHOOL only won on genuinely tiny shipments, where its ¥30 coupon kicked in from ¥21. The full breakdown at seven bills is in the table on the homepage.

What was inside the bundle (archive)

For the record, this is what KAKOSCHOOL dropped on your account:

  • 10% off shipping with no minimum spend, ×1.
  • ¥300 on shipping over ¥2000, ¥200 over ¥1500, ¥150 over ¥1000.
  • 2× ¥100 over ¥800, 3× ¥80 over ¥500, 3× ¥50 over ¥300.
  • 2× ¥30 over ¥21 — the only coupons worth anything on a small parcel.

¥1300 in flat-rate coupons plus a separate percentage discount, following the same template as the earlier seasonal bundles (SUMMER26 and MIDYEAR26) and September's KAKOSEP — all expired now.

KAKOSCHOOL was one of five parts. The others needed no code and also closed with August: a 10% sitewide shipping subsidy, a flash sale across every product, a referral programme paying up to ¥2000, and a referral leaderboard where the Top 10 split up to ¥3000. If you claimed subsidies back then, check their dates in your panel — a claimed subsidy carries its own expiry, independent of the code.

How to redeem the codes that do work

  1. Log in to Kakobuy (or create a free account through our link for the welcome bundle).
  2. Open User Center → Coupons → Redeem.
  3. Paste KAKOHALLOWEEN, KAKOMOON, SAFE2026, Ponur, KAKOEU and Luxury, one at a time.
  4. The coupons land on your account; pick one coupon per parcel when you pay for shipping.

What came after KAKOSCHOOL

Kakobuy publishes coupon bundles every few weeks — SUMMER26, MIDYEAR26 and KAKOSCHOOL all followed that rhythm. Next came September's KAKOSEP with the same contents (expired September 30, 2026), and in October 2026 the same bundle is back as KAKOHALLOWEEN (to Oct 31), next to KAKOMOON (¥550 in flat-rate coupons + 20% off). What should I use instead of KAKOSCHOOL?

The KAKOHALLOWEEN bundle: exactly the same contents as KAKOSCHOOL (¥1300 in flat-rate coupons + 10% off), valid October 10–31, 2026. Flat-rate coupons also come from the KAKOMOON pack (¥550 + a 20% off coupon), while September's KAKOSEP, with the same contents, expired on September 30, 2026. For raw shipping discount, a percentage code — and you come out ahead more often than not. Above a shipping bill of roughly ¥150, 20% off from Ponur or KAKOMOON takes more off than the best flat-rate coupon in the KAKOSCHOOL bundle, because a percentage scales while the flat tiers stopped at ¥300. On a ¥1000 bill that is ¥200 against ¥150; on ¥3000 it is ¥600 against ¥300. The bundle only wins on very small parcels, where its ¥30 coupon starts at a ¥21 bill.

Is the Back to School Fest still running?

No. The Kako Back to School Fest was an August event: a sitewide shipping subsidy, a flash sale and a referral programme with a Top 10 leaderboard.
